The mission of the Commission is to build an informed citizenry, to promote transparency in public discourse hold and institutions accountable to all.

The vision of the Commission is to facilitate the right of access to information; promote and sustain awareness of the citizenry in their right of access to information and institutions in their obligations to disclose information.

The Sindh Information Commission is established under the Sindh Transparency and Right to Information Act, 2016. The object of the Commission is to:
a. Promote,
b. Monitor,
c. Protect and
d. Enforce
the right to information that is granted to every citizen under the Sindh Transparency and Right to Information Act, 2016 and in Article 19(A) of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
